Belated Update on Hurrication

Gustave looked evil but mercifully spared what is left of our fair city. That's not to say that we returned home completely unscathed. I stupidly left 2 a/c units in the windows upstairs before abandoning fair NOLA once again. Returned to find a huge mess. The wind had ripped both pairs of shutters off the house and flung them to the pavement below. I found pieces of the shutter a block away several weeks later. I also had many broken window panes in both bedroom and bathroom windows and the bathroom a/c unit was in sitting in the bathtub. The rain had soaked the bedroom curtains. Not a complete tragedy but still not fun.

"HURRICATION"

I can't believe it's happened again but Mother Nature has forced us all out of that rarified atmosphere sometimes known as "New Orleans", formerly known as "The Big Easy".

So, in order not to succumb to total mind-numbing sloth and boredom, I'm taking advantage of this opportunity to create a blog.

PAST IS PROLOGUE:

There once was a fabled Emerald City, a place where lines of cosmic energy converged to create a powerful synergy, a place called New Orleans.   Then came the whirlwind; hurricane Katrina.  Katrina severely displaced the lines of cosmic convergence and a beautiful way of life was literally Gone With the Wind.

After 3 years, almost to the day, of putting things back in order and creating a new existence, a new threat has appeared on the horizon.
